General information

This page describes the terms and conditions of use that apply to all internet-users visiting the site (hereafter the "Site").

As a user visiting the Site, these terms and conditions of use refer to you as "You", "Your" and “Yours”.

By accessing and using the Site, you fully undertake to comply with the following terms and conditions of use without reservation.

Due to ongoing changes in the Internet, conditions of use may be amended (additions or withdrawals) at any time and without notice. We therefore advise You to consult them regularly.

Intellectual property

This Site is owned by Sanofi Egypt (hereafter the “Company”) and is hosted by the Sanofi Group.

The documents, content and items created for the Site are the exclusive property of the Company or third parties that have authorized their use by the Company.

The presentation and each of its elements (including trademarks, logos and domain names) appearing on the Site are protected by current intellectual property legislation and belong to the Company and/or the Sanofi Group or to third parties who have authorized their use.

No material from the Site (including texts, logos, drawings and images) may be copied, reproduced, altered, modified, downloaded, distorted, transmitted or disseminated in any manner or any medium, in whole or in part, without the Company's prior, express and written consent. Their use is subject to authorisation.

As an exception to the above (i) the components of the Site may be used for the purposes of the press and subject to the respect of the rights attached to these components, including intellectual property rights, and (ii) the copy of one or more components of the Site is permitted for Your personal, private and non-commercial use, and on your personal electronic devices only.

Elements composing or contained in the Site authorized for use may not be distorted, modified or altered in any way. An unauthorized use of these elements constitutes an infringement.

The Company and the Sanofi Group reserve the right to take legal action against any infringement of their intellectual property rights.

Nature of the information

The purpose of the Site is to collect the electronic consent of healthcare professionals.

The information provided on this Site shall not be considered as an invitation to prescribe or purchase drugs produced by Sanofi or any of its subsidiaries. They shall not be considered as an invitation to invest and shall not be interpreted as canvassing or public offering and do not constitute an offer to subscribe, purchase or deal in Sanofi shares or any other fixed value issued by Sanofi and/or its subsidiaries.

Site users' obligations

It is Your responsibility to take the necessary precautions to prevent any infection of Your personal electronic devices due to the use of the Site (including, but not limited to, one or more “viruses”, “Trojan horses” or any other "parasites").

You undertake not to divert the Site from its purpose, or to make use of it for illegal purposes under Tunisian law or any other legislation which You would be required to comply with. Moreover, You are prohibited from allowing or facilitating any illegal diversion or use of the Site by a third party.

Comments or content that You may post on the Site are monitored by the Company. The Company reserves the right to remove any comments or content it considers to be in violation of applicable laws and regulations, or that the Company would consider inappropriate (without this list being limitative, this includes comments or content relating to illegal, offensive, defamatory, obscene, incendiary, pornographic or profane materials or conduct that could be considered as an offence or give rise to any liability or violation of the law). The Company also reserves the right to sue users of the Site who have posted such comments or content, or to allow any company in the Sanofi Group to bring such lawsuits.

Comments or content that You may post on the Site do not necessarily reflect the opinions or ideals of the Company, its employees or subsidiaries. The Company also cannot confirm the accuracy of comments or content that You may post and does not verify, approve and endorse them. In any event, the Company cannot be held responsible for the publication of such comments or content.

Links to other websites

The Site may include hyperlinks to third-party sites on the Internet. Neither the Company nor the Sanofi Group can be held responsible for the content of a third-party site to which You may have gained access via the Site. Neither the Company nor the Sanofi Group has any means of controlling the content of such third-party sites that remain completely independent of the Company and the Sanofi Group. Neither the Company nor the Sanofi Group can be held responsible for the accessibility of such third-party sites. In addition, the existence of a link between the Site and a third-party site in no way implies that the Company or the Sanofi Group approves of the content of this site in any way, and in particular the use that is likely to be made of it.

Third-party sites may contain hyperlinks leading to the Site. Any such hyperlink shall not be installed without obtaining the Company's express and written prior consent. In any event, the Company cannot be held responsible for (i) the unavailability of such external sites, or (ii) their origin and content, which the Company does not review, control or approve.

Confidential and personal information

The Company fully understands the importance of privacy and the protection of personal data in the digital era and is committed to ensure an adequate level of data protection for all persons with whom the Company is dealing.

With the exception of personal data that is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy that you must read and accept (see the Site’s Privacy Policy), any information in any form - documents, data, graphics, questions, suggestions, concepts, remarks or other - that you communicate on the Site will in no way be deemed confidential. Consequently, the mere transmission by You gives the Company the right to use, reproduce, distribute, modify or transmit this information in order to process Your request.

Please note usernames and passwords ("Connection Details"), which are provided to you to log in to the Site, are personal to you and cannot be shared with anyone else.

Limitation of liability

The Company makes every effort to ensure that the information published on the Site is accurate and up-to-date. The Sanofi Group and the Company reserve the right to correct or change the content of the Site at any time without notice. However, the Company cannot guarantee that the information available on the Site is comprehensive, precise, exhaustive, correct or up-to-date.

Accordingly, and with the exception of any direct damages resulting from gross negligence or intentional misconduct on its part, the Company denies any liability:

in connection with inaccuracies, vagueness or omissions regarding the information available on the Site;
which would result from any damage resulting from a fraudulent intrusion on the Site by a third party and which would lead to a change in the information or components made available on the Site;
for any direct or indirect damage, regardless of the causes, origins, natures or consequences, and which would be caused as a result of (i) any access to the Site or the impossibility of access, (ii) the use of the Site, including any damage or virus that could infect Your computer equipment, and/or (iii) the credit You would give to any information directly or indirectly from the Site. The components of the Site are provided "as is" with no guarantee of any kind, whether implicit or explicit. The Company offers no implicit or explicit guarantees, relative, without limitation, to their market value or relevance for any purpose.

Website availability

You acknowledge (i) that it is technically impossible to offer a Site free of any defects and that the Company cannot take any responsibility for this; (ii) that defects may render the Site temporarily unavailable; and that (iii) the operation of the Site may be affected by conditions and/or performance beyond the Company's control, such as, for example, transmission and/or telecommunications links between You and the Site.

The Company and/or its suppliers may, at any time, temporarily or permanently modify or discontinue accessibility to all or part of the Site to carry out maintenance operations and/or make improvements and/or modifications to the Site. The Company denies any liability for any damage that would result from a change in, suspension of or discontinuation of access to the Site.

Product information

Information contained and broadcasted on the Site may include direct or indirect references to Sanofi Group products, programs and services which are not proposed or available in certain countries or regions, or which may be offered under a different trademark, and which may be subject to different regulations and conditions of use according to the country. Legal provisions

The Site and its contents are governed by Egyptian law, and any dispute relating to these terms and conditions falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of Egyptian courts.
