Born healthy, Fariha began experiencing symptoms at the age of 2, including an enlarged spleen and difficulty eating. After several tests, doctors in Madras diagnosed her with Gaucher disease, which caused her liver and kidney enlargement. Her condition worsened, leading to severe health issues. However, after starting treatment, including an enzyme injection, Fariha’s health improved drastically. Her blood circulation and limb function were restored, and she was able to eat, play, and live a normal life. After two years of ongoing treatment, Fariha is now healthy and thriving.
