Hello dear friends, I am Dr. Banshi Saboo, Diabetologist, Besset and Dabat. As we all know that for any drug which we choose for our patients, what about efficacy and safety of the drug of this new insulin? Is it convenient to use for patients? Whether the last, which is also very important, is it cost effective? A very important point is efficacy and safety. Whether they are uncontrolled or multiple oral and taryotic agents, whether they are patient with CKD, they are elderly, some of them are high risk for hypoglycemia and even their glycemic variability is high. Due to its unique mode of action, Glargin 300 benefits the patient with low day to day glycemic variability. Glargin 300 can be safely used in pregnancy if clinically indicated. The most important thing is a convenience. A dosing flexibility of plus minus 3R, that is very very important. When we say our patients that once in 24 hours, they may not take at the same time. This flexibility is there with Glargin 300. The second very important thing is less insulin volume, the less volume and less pain. Cost is an important issue when we are treating the every patient with a newer basal insulin, but I will say it is really economical, but it is second generation. If I compare it with other second generation insulin, it is 35% economical than other second generation. Device like toaster with dedicated cartridge benefit makes the users less confusing and very smooth to operate also. Thank you.
