How can I recycle my used Solostar insulin pens?
01) Store the pen(s) after use
Remove and throw any attached needle into the sharps bin. Check that the Solostar insulin pen has been emptied of its content. You may store the pen(s) into a recycling bag.
02) Proceed to the Solostar recycling bin
Bring the used Solostar insulin pens back to your endocrine clinic/ pharmacy* and locate its recycling bin designated for Solostar insulin pens.

03) Easy drop-off
Drop off your used Solostar insulin pens at the designated recycling bin!
What will happen to the recycled pens?

These pens will be processed and converted to a synthetic material called NEWBitumen through tech and environmentally safe techniques.
- NEWBitumen replaces traditional crude-derived Bitumen for road construction, reducing the overall reliance on fossil fuel-derived materials.
