Dr Ian Cheng
Ian is a Staff Specialist in Occupational & Environmental Medicine based at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.
Biography
He also conducts a private practice in Aviation and Occupational Medicine. Ian previously held fractional specialist appointments at QANTAS Aviation Medical Services, IBM and CASA Aviation Medicine. Ian is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, a Foundation Fellow of the Australasian College of Aerospace Medicine, an academician of the International Academy of Aviation and Space Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Ian is currently an elected council member of ISTM’s Travel for Work interest group. He is also the Immediate Past-President of the Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ASAM) where he feels privileged to have been given the opportunity to contribute to ASAM through his breadth of aviation medicine experience that ranges from commercial airline operations, regulator involvement to being a very active CASA designated aviation medical examiner.
