CODDLE study: Bacillus clausii as an adjunctive treatment of acute community-acquired diarrhoea in Filipino children

Philippines records per year around 10,000 deaths in children. Diarrhoea ranks in the top 10 of its causes. B. clausii strains O/C, SIN, N/R and T have been used as an adjunct to oral rehydration therapy for managing diarrhoea for several decades.  However, there is a lack of its safety and efficacy data. The present study aims to provide this data on Filipino children with acute community-acquired diarrhoea of viral origin or antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.
