Terms of use

This page describes the terms and conditions that apply to all users visiting and using this site (www.campus.sanofi/th/) and its related services, including without limitation the virtual event facility for which the seminar and presentation (“Webinar”) is accessed through (collectively the "Site"). By accessing and using the Site, you unconditionally accept and undertake to comply with these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to any part of these terms and conditions, do not use the Site.

Sanofi-aventis (Thailand) Ltd. (“Sanofi”, ”we” or ”us”) may, at any time, modify these terms and conditions, at Sanofi’s discretion and without prior notice. Any such modification shall be effective immediately upon the posting of the modified terms and conditions. You are bound by any such modifications and should, therefore, regularly visit this page to review the then current terms and conditions.

By using the Site, you represent to Sanofi and agree that you (i) are either (a) a qualified, licensed healthcare professional in the jurisdiction in which you are using the Site and/or participating in the Webinar (”HCP”) or (b) are otherwise authorized by Sanofi to use the Site, (ii) will abide by the terms of any and all agreements between you and Sanofi and between Sanofi and your employer (as applicable), and (iii) will use the Site and participate in the Webinar only in a manner consistent with your professional, ethical, regulatory, statutory and other legal requirements. By using the Site, you also represent to Sanofi that you (i) are at least 20 years of age and have reached the age of majority under all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, and (ii) have read, understood and agree to these terms of use with the intent to be legally bound by them.

I) Legal Statements

Intellectual property

This Site is owned, operated and/or maintained by or for and on behalf of sanofi-aventis (Thailand) Ltd., an affiliate of the Sanofi Group. The layout and each of the components, including, but not limited to, trademarks, logos and domain names, appearing on the Site, are protected by applicable laws on intellectual property, and belong to Sanofi or its affiliated companies, or their use is the subject of authorisation from third party.

Some of the copyright for the content presented on the Site or during and for the Webinar (”Presentations”) may be owned by individual presenters or third parties and is made available by Sanofi under a licence or agreement. No component of the Site, the Webinar and the Presentations may be copied, reproduced, altered, edited, downloaded, denatured, transmitted or distributed in any way whatsoever, on any medium whatsoever, in whole or in part, without the prior written consent, except solely for personal, private and non-commercial use on compliance with intellectual property rights and any other property rights; it is your responsibility to obtain approval for such use where necessary. Any breach of copyright or intellectual property right or any unauthorized use of any or all contents made avialbale on the Site, including the recording of Webinar and the Presentations, may lead to legal action.

Nature of information

The Site is intended for healthcare professionals (“HCPs”) only. The Site, the Webinar, the Presentations and its contents are designed to comply with the laws of Thailand. Although the Site is accessible outside of Thailand, such access shall be subject to the laws of Thailand and jurisdiction of the courts of Thailand.

The Site may provide medical and scientific information on or may offer opinions by experts consulted in a particular field. Any such information solely represents the opinion of the expert consulted, and is not necessarily the opinion of Sanofi or the Sanofi Group. Sanofi is not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of any such information and opinions.

The purpose of the Site is to provide information to HCPs only. In order to gain access to the Site, you will be required to register. You will only be permitted access once you have agreed to our terms and conditions of use set out herein, registered for the Site and an email confirmation has been received by you at the email address that you have provided.

You represent and warrant that you are a HCP and agree to Sanofi’s terms and conditions of use set out hereinThe Site may include information on health, physical condition, the medical field and medical treatments for human use, financial and other information which is forward-looking and involves risks and uncertainties, including, without limitation, risks associated with the inherent uncertainty of pharmaceutical research, product development and commercialization, the impact of competitive products, patent, product liability and third-party reimbursement risks associated with the pharmaceutical industry. Said information may be presented for informational purposes, and it is not a substitute for your own clinical judgment as a healthcare professional. No clinical decisions are to be based solely on the information made available on the Site, but are to include consideration of clinical history, symptoms, other diagnostic measurements, and other factors that you may deem relevant in your judgment. You understand and agree that your use of the information or opinions or Presentations made available on the Site or shared at the Webinar is at your own risk and judgment.

Registration

In order to gain access to the Site and related services contained within and/or made accessible through your registration via the Site, you must be a HCP and you will be required to register by completing and submitting the registration form. Registration will not be considered complete until Sanofi has confirmed your registration. The password, links or information provided to you to access the Site is for your exclusive use. You must not share, disclose, disseminate and/or otherwise allow access or use of your registration details, password, links and/or information provided to you for access to the Site to any other person. You are responsible for any activity, on the Site to which you are granted with access, arising out of any failure to restrict access to the Site, and may be held responsible for any losses arising out of such a failure.

You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any such unauthorised access use of your registration details and/or the access to the Site provided to you. If you are viewing the Site for which you are not validly registered or your access to the Site is not authorized, Sanofi reserves the right to take immediate action to the extent permitted by law.

Links to other sites

The Site may contain links to third-party sites. Sanofi and/or the Sanofi Group shall not be in any way incur any liability in respect of a third-party site that can be accessed via the Site. A third-party link does not imply a recommendation or endorsement from Sanofi. Sanofi does not have any way of controlling the content of such third-party sites which remain entirely independent of Sanofi. Sanofi is not responsible for and will not have any liability for any damages or injuries of any kind arising in connection with the content of linked third party sites. Moreover, the existence of a link between the Site, the Webinar, the Presentations and any content provided therein, and a third-party site does not under any circumstances mean that Sanofi approves the content of that site in any way whatsoever and in particular the use that may be made of it.

The use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to the terms and conditions of the third-party site. In any case, Sanofi is not in any way liable for the non-availability of such sites and Sanofi does not scrutinize, check or approve them and is not responsible for contents, advertising, products or other components available on or via those sites. Any trademarks, copyright or other registered material or intellectual property of those sites remain the property of their respective owners.

In addition, you are responsible for taking the precautions necessary to prevent any infection from the Site or any third-party’s site, in particular by one or more computer viruses, Trojan horses or any other parasite. Any hypertext links to the Site shall not be created without the express prior consent of Sanofi.

Personal Data and Other Information

Sanofi respects the privacy of every individual who registers for accessing the Site. By registering for the SIte, you consent for your application details to be provided to Sanofi and/or its service provider operating the Site (or any component thereof), to set up and administer the Site and for the purposes outlined in the Personal Data Protection Notice. Please review our Personal Data Protection Notice that explains your rights and our responsibilities with respect to personal data that is collected via the Site.

The Site is not intended to receive confidential information from you. Consequently, and except for personal data mentioned in the Personal Data Protection Notice, any information, whatever its form, e.g. document, data, graphic, question, suggestion, concept, comment or other, that you send us via the Site, will not under any circumstances be deemed confidential. Consequently, the act of sending it to us, you automatically grant to the Sanofi and, as applicable, to its affiliates, suppliers and service providers (or warrant that the owner of such material has expressly granted to such party or parties), the royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, assignable, non-exclusive right and license, with the right to grant sublicenses, to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, translate and distribute such content and data (in whole or in part) and/or incorporate it in other works in any form, media or technology now known or hereafter developed.

Limitations on liability

Sanofi reserves the right to change the content of the Site at any time, without prior notice. However, Sanofi cannot represent or warrant that the information available on the Site or made available in connection with the Webinar and/or the Presentations is accurate, correct, up-to-date and/or complete.

In so far as is permitted by applicable law, Sanofi disclaims any liability for any damages or loss, for any reason, of any origin, nature or with any consequences whatsoever, including without limitation:

  • liability for any failure to register you and/or provide you access to the Site;
  • liability for any cancellation or postponement of the Webinar;
  • liability for any inaccuracy, error or omission as regards information available on the Site, the Webinar and/or the Presentations;
  • liability for the detailed content or quality of the Site and/or any Presentation or if the outcomes of the Webinar and/or any Presentation did not entirely meet expectations;

Sanofi does not make any representations that the Site, the Webinar and/or the Presentations are appropriate or authorized for use whether by any professional membership or credentialing organization or otherwise. If you choose to use any information available through the Site and the Webinar, you do so on your own initiative, and you are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.

Except for the limited warranty and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sanofi makes available and/or hosts the Site as-is with all faults, and hereby disclaim all other warranties and conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, including, but not limited to, any (if any) implied warranties, duties or conditions of merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, of reliability or availability, of accuracy or completeness of responses, of results, of lack of viruses, and lack of negligence, all with regard to the Site, and the provision of or failure to provide support or other services, information, and related content through the Site, or otherwise arising out of the use of the Site, the Webinar and/or the Presentations.

Recording of Webinar

The Webinar may include a feature that allows audio, visual and any documents and other materials exchanged or viewed to be recorded through appropriate means, including without limitation audio visual, photo taking, video recording; and your image, sound, photographic likeness may also be taken, broadcasted, transmitted and recoded throughout the Webinar. If you do not consent to the recording, please contact Sanofi to discuss your concerns in good time prior to joining the Webinar.

By participating in the Webinar, you consent to the photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used by Sanofi and its affiliates for any internal and external communication, or educational purposes, or for any other purposes that Sanofi, its vendors, partners, affiliates and/or representatives deems fit to use, including but not limited, for research purposes, to distribute to the media for use in their articles, television or media reports, to distribute to participants of the Webinar, HCPs, healthcare organizations, incorporation into other materials for use by Sanofi and its affiliates with any internal and/or external audiences.

You release Sanofi and its affiliates, each of their officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitising, or publication of your photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings, recorded during the Webinar. By participating in the Webinar, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any exhibition, streaming, webcasting, televising, or other publication of these materials. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Sanofi or the person or entity designated to do so by Sanofi. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before participating in the Webinar.

Indemnity

By registering for and/or using the Site (and its content) and/or participating in the Webinar, you hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Sanofi and its officers, directors, employees, and agents for, from and against any claim, suit, proceedings, loss, liability, damage, cost and expense (including, without limitation, costs of investigation and legal fees and expenses), directly or indirectly relating to, resulting from or arising out of: (a) any breach of these terms and conditions; (b) any negligent act or omission or willful misconduct by you in connection with your registration for and/or use of the Site (and its content) and/or participating in the Webinar; and (c) any violation of applicable laws.

Availability of the Site and the Webinar

You acknowledge that: (i) it is technically impossible to provide the Site free from any defect and that Sanofi cannot undertake to do so; (ii) defects may lead to the Site being unavailable; and (iii) operation of the Site and the virtual event facilities can be affected by events and/or matters that Sanofi does not control, such, for example, as means of transmission and communication between you and Sanofi and between Sanofi and other networks.

Sanofi and/or its service providers may, at any time, alter or interrupt, temporarily or permanently, all or part of the Site to undertake maintenance and/or make improvements and/or changes to the Site. Sanofi is not responsible for any alteration, suspension or interruption of the Site. Sanofi has the right and at its sole discretion to remove any content or information on the Site or restrict access to the Site at any time for any or no reason.

Sanofi has the right and at its sole discretion, to remove any participant from the Webinar, or restrict access to the Site and virtual event facility and/or any part of the Site and virtual event facility, the recorded Webinar and/or Presentation(s) at any time for any or no reason (including but is not limited to reasons of inappropriate or illegal conduct). Registrants may view the recorded Webinar for such time that the recordings are made available on the Site, subject to the terms and conditions herein. You may be required to register for the Webinar before the Webinar start date. Failure to do so may result in your inability to participate in the Webinar.

Registration for the Webinar may be cancelled or postponed at any time prior to the Webinar. If for any reason, the Webinar or any of part of the Webinar is required to be cancelled or postponed by Sanofi, a notification may be sent to you.

Information on products

Information available on the Site and/or during the Webinar may include direct or indirect references to products, programmes and services of Sanofi or the Sanofi Group that are not announced or available in some countries or some regions or that may be supplied under a different name and may be subject to regulations and terms of use that differ depending on the country. Such references do not mean that Sanofi or the Sanofi Group intends to sell those products, programmes or services in your country. Please refer to Sanofi or your Sanofi sales partner for any information about the products, programmes and services available to you.

Legal provisions

The terms and conditions herein are governed by the laws of Thailand, and any disputes relating thereto are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Thailand.
