Gert-Jan Braunstahl is a pulmonologist working in a tertiary severe asthma center in Rotterdam. His scientific work has significantly contributed to the “united airways” concept. After this the focus has shifted towards clinical application of fractionated nitric oxide (FeNO) in respiratory allergy. Nowadays, he is involved in several lines of research, such as morbid obesity and asthma, aging of the asthmatic lung, bacterial lysates and prevention of asthma exacerbations, and several clinical studies investigating biologicals in asthma. He holds a position as an associate professor at Erasmus MC and currently he is the head of the section Asthma and Allergy of the Dutch Association of Chest Physicians. In this webinar, Dr Braunstahl will speak about biologic therapies for severe asthma. He will present key RWE data, share real life experience and how to use it for patient selection.
