Ian Pavord is Professor of Respiratory Medicine and Honorary Consultant Physician at the University of Oxford. He has pioneered the use of non-invasive measures of airway inflammation, discovered asthma biomarkers, and led the clinical development of several biologic asthma treatments.

Speaker: Simon Couillard, MD
Simon Couillard, MD, is a Canadian specialist in respiratory medicine and a clinical teacher at the Université de Sherbooke. He finished a two-year clinical research fellowship in severe asthma with the University of Oxford under the supervision of Professor Pavord, and has started a joint Oxford-Leiden PhD on risk prediction in asthma.
