Bart Lambrecht is Professor of Pulmonary Medicine at ErasmusMC and at University of Gent, Belgium, as well as the director of the VIB Inflammation Research Center. He has authored more than 300 papers in the field of asthma, allergy, and respiratory viral infection.

Speaker: Professor Bart Lambrecht
Bart Lambrecht is Professor of Pulmonary Medicine at ErasmusMC and at University of Gent, Belgium, as well as the director of the VIB Inflammation Research Center. He has authored more than 300 papers in the field of asthma, allergy, and respiratory viral infection. Professor Lambrecht's research focuses e.g. on understanding how epithelial cells and immune cells communicate to cause disease, the ultimate goal being the prevention and treatment chronic airway diseases. In this webinar, Professor Lambrecht will speak about mucus plugs and their key role in upper and lower airway diseases. In addition, he will shed light on the current understanding of how mucus plugs could be innovatively prevented or targeted.
